30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If Kaven doesn't work for you โ for any reason โ contact us within 30 days of purchase and we'll issue a full refund. No questions asked.
1. Our Guarantee
We stand behind Kaven. If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days, we'll refund your purchase in full. We built Kaven to save developers weeks of work โ if it doesn't do that for you, you shouldn't pay for it.
Simple rule: Within 30 days โ full refund, no questions. After 30 days โ no refund.
This guarantee exists because we're confident in the product. Most successful refund-backed products (Stripe, Vercel, Supabase competitors) offer 30-day windows as the industry standard. We follow that standard.
2. Eligible Purchases
All Kaven tier purchases are eligible for a refund if requested within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date:
- Starter ($149) โ eligible for full $149 refund within 30 days
- Complete ($399) โ eligible for full $399 refund within 30 days
- Pro ($799) โ eligible for full $799 refund within 30 days, subject to the consultation condition below
The refund window is calculated from the original Paddle transaction date, which is sent to you via Paddle's confirmation email.
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refund:
- Requests made more than 30 calendar days after the purchase date
- 1-hour architecture consultation call (Pro tier) โ once the call has been delivered, the $150 consultation value is non-refundable. If the call has not yet occurred, it does not affect refund eligibility.
- Purchases where the license key or repository access has been shared with third parties in violation of our Terms of Service
- Tier upgrades: if you upgrade from Starter to Complete, the upgrade cost follows the 30-day window from the upgrade date, not the original purchase
4. How to Request a Refund
Requesting a refund is straightforward:
Email us at refunds@kaven.site with subject line: Refund Request โ [your order ID]
Include: Your purchase email address and Paddle transaction ID (found in your Paddle receipt email)
Optional: Tell us what didn't work for you. We use this feedback to improve Kaven โ not to deny your refund.
We process the refund via Paddle within 2 business days of receiving your request.
You do not need to explain your reason. You do not need to delete the code from your machine before requesting. You simply need to be within the 30-day window.
5. Processing Time
- Our response: Within 1 business day of your request
- Refund initiation: Within 2 business days after approval
- Time to appear in your account: 5โ10 business days, depending on your bank/card issuer
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Paddle handles the actual refund disbursement.
6. Paddle Merchant of Record & Buyer Protection
All purchases are processed by Paddle Payments Inc., which acts as the Merchant of Record for all Kaven transactions. This means:
- Your purchase contract is technically between you and Paddle
- Paddle provides their own Buyer Protection on top of our guarantee
- If you cannot reach us, you may contact Paddle directly to initiate a refund request
- Chargebacks initiated with your bank are handled by Paddle. We ask that you contact us first โ chargebacks create administrative overhead and may result in your license being revoked before a resolution is reached
If you have a billing dispute or payment issue, please email us at refunds@kaven.site before initiating a chargeback. We resolve all legitimate requests promptly.
7. Partial Refunds & Upgrade Credits
If you purchased the Starter tier and upgrade to Complete or Pro within 30 days of the original purchase, the upgrade is treated as a new transaction. Both the original purchase and the upgrade have their own 30-day refund windows calculated from their respective transaction dates.
We do not offer partial refunds for unused update periods (e.g., you purchased Complete with 12 months of updates and request a refund at month 11). The 30-day window is the sole criterion.
8. Abuse Prevention
Our guarantee is built on trust. We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of:
- Repeat purchases and refunds by the same individual (serial refund abuse)
- Evidence that the request is intended to obtain the source code without payment
- Clear violation of our Terms of Service prior to the refund request
These cases are rare and require documented evidence before denial. If you believe a refund was denied in error, you may escalate to Paddle's buyer protection process.
